Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ParkAlert uses cookies and similar technologies on parkalert.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and session storage.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
- parkalert_consent — remembers your cookie choice for 12 months.
- Supabase auth tokens — only set if you log in to admin areas.
Functional (consent required)
- Mapbox session tokens — set when you load a map or use search; supports map tile delivery.
Analytics (consent required)
- We currently do not run third-party analytics. If we add Plausible, Fathom, or Google Analytics in future, we will update this list and re-prompt for consent.
Affiliate (consent required)
- Affiliate click tracking — set on the partner's domain when you click an affiliate link (e.g. JustPark, YourParkingSpace). We do not set affiliate tracking cookies on parkalert.uk itself.
3. Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw consent at any time by tapping "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — note this may break parts of the Service.
4. Do Not Track
We honour the browser-level Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a withdrawal of consent for non-essential cookies.
