Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 April 2026
These Terms govern your use of parkalert.uk (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. What ParkAlert is — and isn't
- ParkAlert provides crowd-sourced and editorially curated information about UK parking locations, fine risk, and rules.
- Information is provided "as is" for guidance only. Parking rules and restrictions change frequently. You remain responsible for reading on-site signage and complying with the law.
- ParkAlert is not a parking operator, a payment processor, or a legal advisor.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive reports.
- Scrape, copy, or republish bulk data without written permission.
- Attempt to break or probe the Service's security.
- Use the Service to infringe anyone's rights.
4. User contributions
When you tap "I parked OK" or "I got a ticket" you grant ParkAlert a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use the report for the purposes of operating and improving the Service. Reports are anonymous.
5. Affiliate links
Some links on the Service are affiliate links — see our Affiliate Disclosure. Bookings made through partners are governed by their terms, not ours. ParkAlert is not a party to any contract you form with a partner.
6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParkAlert excludes all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for:
- Parking fines, charges, or vehicle damage you incur.
- Errors or omissions in parking information.
- Acts or omissions of third-party partners (operators, Mapbox, affiliate networks etc.).
- Indirect, consequential, or special losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
7. Intellectual property
The ParkAlert name, branding, software, and original content are owned by us. You may share links to public pages but must not reproduce the Service's content without permission.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
